Topic: recommend . looking at new WS?

i had weather station for years, it failed few years ago . I never replaced. Now I'm looking at basic WS . 
1..GW3001 Wittboy , Lighting detector and solar panel .

2...tempest weather station
Any recommendation would be great

With regards to the Ecowitt stuff I would go for the GW3000 with a WS80 and WS40 for rain plus their lightning sensor, this is what I replaced my Davis VP1 with some 4 years ago. There still seem to be some concerns regarding rain detection with the Wittboy.

I have no experience with the Tempest station.

I'm sure others will come with their views as well.
