Sparkfun Weather Options
« on: June 17, 2017, 09:35:32 AM »
Long time gone but still doing the weather.  I need something better to acquire the backyard temperature accurately.  I read 7 thermometers in my backyard at 7 am every day for comparison. I have an NWS Nimbus Maximum/Mininum temperature system with buried wire cable connecting the sensor to the indoor display.   I want a wireless temperature system.
Now I'm interested in trying the Sparkfun Weather Shield, or the Particle Proton Wifi ioT development module with the Proton Shield.
Has anyone here tried any of these products?
I have minimum experience with the Arduino Uno but not cloud computing (yet).  Experienced in hardware, not software set-up.
