I didn't previously, but I just entered one for this morning. We had frost over every roof and on the grass.
Thanks for the reminder.

Kinda hard to tell if there is frost when everything is covered in snow.

My assumption would be that once growing season is over (if you live somewhere that the growing season ends), there is no real reason to file a frost report (especially once temps go below freezing every night).

I have reported a few times on frost. It's one of those things I didn't put much thought into reporting until recently. Kinda of like reporting "Halo around the moon" or "sundogs", or even thunder.

I always thought of it as first time of year report or some place with mild climate and sensitive growth fruits and vegetation like Florida, Southern Arizona and California.

I agree! I just recently noticed the 'Frost' reporting section on the CoCoRAHS site and because of this I have never used it, but would really only consider using it for the very first frosts of the season here in Western Maine because once we get through September Frost is a very common sight, just like it is for so many other locations ;)

I try to take advantage of each kind of report, and enter comments whenever I can.  I used the frost report once so far this season.  I even use the sundog report from time to time when I remember.

I think it has a lot to do with where one resides. If frost is somewhat an anomaly for a given day, I think it makes sense to post it. But for me, during meteorological winter, it would be the equivalent of reporting that the sun rose.
