WU iOS -- in-app purchase for 1 yr ad-free, no longer working with recent update

Back in 5/23/19 I did an in-app purchase for 1 year of an ads-free subscription on my iPhone XS Max (iOS 13.2.3).  All is well, until yesterday when the app store app on my iPhone prompted me to update to the latest WU v6.0.  After the update, I now get ads on the WU app.  I've tried rebooting the phone, and tapping on the "Restore Purchase" it says "Nothing to restore".

Anyone else have this problem?

They ruined the site and now charge monthly or yearly for using the app without ads. Completely horrible and now I don’t have a program to publish my site for others to see. Any suggestions?

If the radar map in motion on the previous version on Android wasn't unusable I would definitely be trying to find a way to go back.

You'd think they would allow current users who purchased the ad free option to be ad free until their year expired. But that would make sense and be the fair way to do it.
