MovieSalsa and win7 issue

After recently moving from XP to Win7 on my wx PC I have one last remaining issue. I am able to get MovieSalsa to create my videos but my batch file that converts from .avi to .wmv doesn't appear to work. Reading a previous post I switched to ffmpe.exe. In my testing it doesn't run the batch file from MovieSalsa.  I can run the batch file manually by double-clicking and it works. Thinking perhaps a windows permission issue I uninstalled and re-installed outside of the /program files/ dir but still no luck. I've set MovieSalsa/Scheduler to run as admin but apparently you cannot set a batch file to run as admin and I'm wondering if that's the issue? Any help appreciated.
