OFL with indoor temperature measurement - can it be fixed?

During recent local heath wave my old La Crosse Heavy Weather WS-2355 got OFL for indoor temp measurement
Indoor Temperature Range : -9.9°C to + 59.9°C (shows “OFL” if outside range).
And with AC in the house the indoor temperature has been below +30C constantly...

Now I have tried to reset, remove batteries etc. but the Indoor temperature still gives only OFL.
Am I to assume that the indoor temperature measurement unit is now broken?  Or is there still something I could try...
