PWS off line for winter
« on: October 04, 2019, 08:42:34 AM »
Greetings all.

I have a pws at my campground and spent most of the summer waiting for naming issues to be resolved with WU.

The campground will be closing for the winter and wifi and power will be turned off. In April 2020 the park will re-open.
Will WU allow me to resume with my KILLROCK100 Blackhawk Valley Campground in the spring, or will I have to create new station??

I'm also going to try to get the park owners to help allow this station to upload over the winter , but that answer is unclear at this time.
i have also emailed WU, but one never knows how long a non-canned reply will be if at all..

My station went off for one winter.  No issues getting back onto WU with the same id.

I would believe once you have that account and number, it is yours. it will pop up again as soon as you send data.

It's not you-It's WU.

I've had WU ID's configured for years without sending data. Then I started sending data. I still have others that are offline now that are only used for testing every now an then several months apart without use. I can see them in the My Devices page...they show Offline for status. They aren't going to disappear and neither is the data. Well I suppose anything is possible with WU but up till now there has been no issue.
