Title: WEZR
Post by: Jáchym on April 14, 2015, 06:06:39 PM
Just came across this thing:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/441602794/wezr-the-industrys-most-precise-weather-tracker

What do you think about it? Do you think it will be accurate and useful?

It's not at all obvious (to me at least) what it does. What does it claim to do?

It's obviously not a weather station, though conceivably eg a temperature monitor which might compare local actuals to forecast values. But difficult to guess what it claims to do that eg WXSIM connected to a well-exposed VP2 might not do a lot better.

http://www.wezr.co/en  Fail. Who needs another device kicking around when lots of phones have temp/hum sensors in them and the internal GPS can get you a geolocated WU forecast.  They say updated forecasts every 5 minutes.  Yeah, that has to be accurate.  ;)

Not sure how all kickstarter projects work but looks like this one won't be going: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/441602794/wezr-the-industrys-most-precise-weather-tracker
