WeatherWizz – New Dashboard Builder Now in Beta

It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’ve been busy building our latest Weather Dashboard Builder, and I’m excited to share that the first beta release is now available.

This version has been completely rebuilt from the ground up with loads of new features to help you create dashboards faster, easier, and with more flexibility. Here’s what’s new:

Fast Dashboard Creation
New tools, templates, and onboard help make building dashboards a breeze

Smart Tools
Easily copy and paste styles, duplicate tiles, and move things around

Dashboard Linking
Link up to 100 dashboards using the new button tile

Sensor Formula Tool
Create virtual sensors like dew point, cloud base, and heat index

Sensor Conversion Tool
Convert units and add formulas for calibration

Mobile and Tablet Simulator
Preview and configure dashboards for different screen sizes

Live Designer Updates
Save changes and see them go live instantly

Seamless Integration
Combine multiple weather stations or sensor arrays in one view

We’ve also renamed the original designer to Classic Designer. It will continue to run as usual, so if you’re happy with your current setup, there’s no need to switch.

You can try out the beta now by logging into your account. There’s a feedback button built in, so feel free to share your thoughts or suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing what you think

Just noticed the beta update, tried using it and going to live view no data showed up. Any thoughts? Also, didnt see a category for dew point.

Hi mikemaps,

Thanks for the feedback. Just like the original dashboard designer, the new dashboard builder also requires you to configure your chosen template. Once you’ve selected the design you want to use, simply click on each tile to assign a sensor from your weather station.

I’ve already set the Temperature sensor tile in the dashboard Large Station 1 in your account as an example of how this works.

Let us know if you need any further help.

Hi mikemaps,

Your weather station doesn’t send the dew point directly, so we can calculate it using the custom formula builder. I’ve created a sample dashboard in your account called “Dew point example” to show you how it’s done.

From there, you can either export the formula and import it into your own dashboard, or simply copy the tile and paste it into your dashboard.

Let me know if you need anything else.
