Tsunami Warning - Western California Coast

A Magnitude 7.3 Earthquake occurred 80 miles off the west pacific coast, and this has prompted a Tsunami wave for the Northern/Central California coast, and the southwestern Oregon Coast.

It's been cancelled now, only small waves were recorded.

It was quite a surprise.. first the SMS alert message, then the EMS messages on TV.

Even so, we're well inland of the southern SF Bay at 384ft, so damage here is VERY unlikely :)

The quake apparently had little vertical motion (was mostly strike-slip horizontal) so no tsunami was seen at closest shoreline so the overall alerts were cancelled.
