I don't know. They are asking the very same question in Oklahoma.  It's hard to remember in Oklahoma City if it ever didn't rain a drop in October.   Temps this week to be in the mid 80s to low 90s, likely record breaking.

Much of north-central Colorado is under a Red Flag Warning, due to high winds (gusts to 50-60 mph) and very dry conditions thanks to well below normal precip.
