Spoke with my brother in Houston area today, they still have no power. Luckily he had a couple gas generators but finding gas is also an issue. Many stations are out or closed, so they travel 80 miles round trip to fill gas cans. His next big purchase will be a backup generator on natural gas. Been thinking about putting one in myself, except using propane.
Here it's not as big an issue in the summer, our heat index isn't 105+ every day, but a winter blizzard outage can be bad with no heat.

So what happens if you have an electric car, the EPA has banned LP and natural gas?

Most of Colorado including the Front Range (most of the population) is under a Heat Advisory for today and the weekend.

The same area has also seen extremely low precipitation since April so is "abnormally dry" to "severe drought":

Do you blame Global Warming, gas and diesel powered cars and trucks, propane, natural gas, too many people on the earth or what?

Trying to understand the purpose of your post. Drought conditions come and go, have for years and will continue to do so, even if the “Greenies” get their way and we all must live in caves to exist.

Got it. Any mention of weather conditions that don't follow the contrarian narrative cause conniption fits. Thanks for the tip.

Interesting weather is interesting. And that’s all. People are hypersensitive for some reason.

Ya think? Guess we're sick and tired of being lectured to by people that have NO business telling anybody anything. Look no further than our Executive Branch.

Who was lecturing? Is any non-cold weather event not to be discussed?

I know I'm tired of it. All they do is scream their same talking points, but they don't have any answers to what they call serious problems. All they do is blame a certain group for it and shut down their livelihoods. Raise inflation in the process.

Rant? Comprehension a strong suit? I don't need a point. You make it for me. "Rant" over.

Either I’m young and hopelessly idealistic and naïve, or I’m old and cynical and bitter, eh?

I get it. Any weather that doesn’t comport with the contrarian narrative is immediately seized upon as evidence of something nefarious. Unless it’s anomalously cold, just be silent.

Amazing that a couple weather events causes some people to get so riled. Why?
