Spoke with my brother in Houston area today, they still have no power. Luckily he had a couple gas generators but finding gas is also an issue. Many stations are out or closed, so they travel 80 miles round trip to fill gas cans. His next big purchase will be a backup generator on natural gas. Been thinking about putting one in myself, except using propane.
Here it's not as big an issue in the summer, our heat index isn't 105+ every day, but a winter blizzard outage can be bad with no heat.

So what happens if you have an electric car, the EPA has banned LP and natural gas?

I get it. Any weather that doesn’t comport with the contrarian narrative is immediately seized upon as evidence of something nefarious. Unless it’s anomalously cold, just be silent.
