Departure From Normal
« on: January 16, 2024, 09:40:48 AM »
Yesterday, January 15, the local NWS office is showing a high of 12 and a low of 4, for a departure from normal of -28 degrees.  I though that was kind of extreme, but I looked back over some charts I have back to '13 and I see that twice before in January.  Once 28 degrees above normal and one other -28 degrees.

How large of a swing in Departure have you seen?

Interesting but not knowing where in the world you are it is impossible to know what is normal for your location or what units your temp is in?
