Australian Weather Network - New Members welcome
« on: January 15, 2024, 02:37:31 AM »
Hi Weather Enthusiasts!

It's been a while since I have reached out. I am still hosting the Australian Weather Network site

https://australiawx.net/

And I would love more members.  It's open to users of Weather Display, WeatherLink, Virtual Weather Station, Meteobridge, Weather Underground HeavyWeather Uploader (WUHU), and Cumulus.

It's free and I would love to have more sites to display on the map.

Any questions, reach out via the site.

Just wondering if this is still active and if you guys are planning to offer support for other uploading services in the future? I'm using a custom script developed by an enthusiast that uses Google app script and uploads to Windy and a few other weather pages.

Hi

This specific site is still live but not sure if Ken is developing any additional connections for it.

If you upload to your site in a format that the parser can use then we can add it.

I have hosting the Aussie network for a few years but membership has been pretty flat.

The more we have on the site the better but we we limited to the data sources.

Cheers.

Steve West.

Yeah, I'm very new to PWS and anything of the like but I do find it interesting and would like to chat with people locally, easier to relate with local weather and what not.

I would like to join up but I don't have anything hosted on the list you guys have posted although my PWS is currently sending data to Windy and WU, but I don't know what information you guys may need for it to work on your end.

Hi Steve
I've just applied. I used to be a member when I was in Tom Price, now in Perth. If it helps, I'm happy to develop and host the Forum as I see it's a dead link.
Let me know.
Chris

Steve,
I see you are running the mesonet loadcache program V3.07 - 28-Nov-2018.  I do have an update I'll package and send for V4.07 - 22-Mar-2025.

In addition to some bug fixes, It now allows additional methods for collecting data:

ST  loaded from stickertag
CR  loaded from Weather-display clientraw.txt
STCU loaded from Cumulus realtime.txt or Meteobridge MBrealtime.txt, WeatherLink WLrealtime.txt or WeatherCat WCT_realtime.txt
SSG loaded from SteelSeries Gauge realtime file

added:
MTJ loaded from MeteoTemplate WebFeeds/index.php?format=json conditions
WLC loaded from WeatherLink.com embedded page JSON url
WDAPI loaded from pwsdashboard ./jsondata/WDapi.txt
BTN loaded from json/weewx_data.json Belchertown weewx skin data
VWSWF loaded from VWS WeatherFlash data/wflash.txt, data/wflash2.txt
ECW loaded from Ecowitt CSV live.csv

I'll pack up an update for you and send via email.

Thanks Ken

Saved me reaching out. Will look to apply when I get the chance.

Hope you’ve been well too.

Would you be able to open the site up so users like myself could join that doesn't have a hosting site for my PWS so I can't fill in the credentials to complete the application.
