AmbientCamHD3 FTP Setup
« on: November 06, 2018, 09:47:21 PM »
I was wondering if anyone uses the AmbientCamHD3 and has setup their FTP to save to their file manager. I tried setting up my ftp host and password from within the program software. It's showing to not want to connect. Any ideas how to fix this?

Seems to me like your hosting provider requires FTPS protocol not FTP. The newer FTPS is probably using port 990 or 998 and even if you change ports it probably won't work on your camera because it doesn't support the required encryption differences.

I would suggest using a different program on your network to pull the image from the camera and then do the upload. I think you can pull the image by using a string similar to this one.

But don't quote me on that...it will be similar for sure though.

As for what program to use I don't have one to recommend. I just use my Meteobridge device. I'm sure others could recommend some software that was compatible with FTPS.
