Email alerts taking a lot longer than usual
« on: October 30, 2018, 07:03:41 PM »
This really isn't a big deal for me, but is anyone else noticing that email alerts to forum updates are taking longer than usual?  (i.e. hours instead of almost instantaneous like it's been for years)

Just reporting in case it's a sign of trouble brewing with the system.

We use (and have to use) the common 1and1 egress email servers.  Sometimes another site in the shared service is naughty and spams.  Looks like one of the egress servers is currently on the Sorbs naughty list

It generally clears after a while, and mail can flow again as intended.
