Here's a thought.
Tap in to the wire coming from the Anemometer. Run it to an Arduino or similar. Treat the data into live Compass Rose to display on an OLED display.
Probably need care not to put too much load on the circuits.
Will there be enough signal current available to run a wire down to AVR?
Or maybe put ESP32 inside ISS?
