Ambient Weather and Ecowitt and other Fine Offset clones / WH46 + HP3500?
« Last post by danburke on Yesterday at 09:49:30 PM »
I've had a HP3500 for a few years now.  Just got my WH46 sensor in the mail today, and it won't pair.  According to the manual (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/3321600/Ecowitt-Wh46.html?page=8#manual), you're supposed to pair it by going into the Sensor ID section of the Ecowitt app.  Well, that's disabled for my 3500.  Frequency is right and I can hear the fan and see the LED when powering up, so I figure the unit is good.  I'm on the latest firmwares (3500 version 1.7.2 and Easyweather 1.6.7)  I know the HP3500 is not popular, but does anyone else have this combo working?

All my other sensors have paired automatically, sadly, this is my first issue.  I do see the 3500 isn't listed on Ecowitt's site any longer, but the 3500 is listed as compatible (https://osswww.ecowitt.net/uploads/20231214/Compatibility%20table.png)

I did not have low storage as far as I can remember
But it is sure not a good thing to be that low on storage
I can recall massive processor load .....

I'm sure Boris can help

Sorry was responding to the original poster and the March 15 post

Would be looking at the storage capacity? On March 15 there was 94% used, only 56mb free, that's not good.

I had the same problem and after a reconstruct of the database my minute data was gone
I was planning on migrating from a Nano SD to a Pro 2 black
Boris has solved the issue for me remotely and it was fine
I had trouble importing the database to my Pro 2 black
But in the end I have returned the unit because it can not transfer data through port 22222 as the nano can because it is a stand alone unit and not connected to a console like a regular meteobridge or a nano SD is
I use the Nano SD also in combination with CumulusMX on a raspberry Pi so I need the 22222 pass through to feed my CumulusMX program
CumulusMX is my main upload source to my website but I do also use the meteobridge graphs generating capabilities

To be short, after importing the database the first time I did not see the min data of the day in the min/max tab, just --

SD card was fine

And yes the rebuilt process took several hours to complete as it has data in it dating back to 2018
It took quite some time to get it right but thanks to Boris it was working

So contact Boris via the meteobridge forum, it could be a bug since I had the same problem

looks like you have it sorted
when you have it all sorted I would strongly advise a regular backup of the WD folder to a off PC drive
I know all about hard drive failures as I've had a few in my time, hence my two main units are backed up to 4 network drives daily and weekly

For 30-Apr-2024, the EC has announced discontinuation of some radar images
in GIF format based on PRECIP-ET products will be removed from the MSC Datamart. This includes both:

    Individual radar images: https://dd.weather.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/CAS*/YYYYMMDDHHmm_CAS*_PRECIPET__*.gif
    Regional and national composites: https://dd.weather.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/[ATL,ONT,PNR,PYR,QUE,NATIONAL]/*.gif
    Contingency products: https://dd.weather.gc.ca/radar/PRECIPET/GIF/CAS*/YYYYMMDDHHmm_CAS*_COMP_PRECIPET_*.gif
    24h accumulations: https://dd.weather.gc.ca/radar/24_HR_ACCUM/GIF/CAS*/YYYYMMDDHHmm_CAS*_24_HR_ACCUM_MM.gif

This requires changes to multiple scripts to support the new DPQPE images instead, and cease displaying the
regional/national composite images as they are no longer being generated in the DPQPE set of GIFs.

Scripts changed:
wxindex.php (see below for mod to your index.php needed)
wxradar.php
wxecradar-inc.php
wxecradar-iframe.php
wxecradar-list-inc.php

The regional and national sites composite images have been removed from the list. In the Saratoga Base-Canada template,
your $SITE['ecradar'] entry will be used as the default site for wxindex.php and wxradar.php displays.

in your index.php find:
Quote
    <div align="center">
      <?php
      // fetch national radar image if needed
      // 'PYR' = Pacific region
      // 'PNR' = Praries region
      // 'ONT' = Ontario
      // 'QUE' = Quebec
      // 'ATL' = Atlantic region
      // or use the local radar site code like WKR or CASET .. see wxecradar-list-inc.php for codes

        $radarLoc = 'ONT';

      //  $radarLoc = $SITE['ecradar']; // use Settings.php entry
        $radar='RAIN'; // ='RAIN' or ='SNOW';
      ?>
<iframe name="wxradarshanis" width="617" height="<?php echo (in_array($radarLoc,array('PYR','PNR','ONT','QUE','ATL')))?'380':'555';?>" src="./wxecradar-iframe.php?radar=<?php echo $radar?>&amp;radarLoc=<?php echo $radarLoc?>&amp;lang=<?php echo $SITE['lang']; ?>" scrolling="no" style="border:none"></iframe>
    </div><!-- end align center -->

and replace with New:
Quote
    <div align="center">
      <?php
        $radarLoc = $SITE['ecradar']; // use Settings.php entry
        $radar='RAIN'; // ='RAIN' or ='SNOW';
      ?>
<iframe name="wxradarshanis" width="617" height="555" src="./wxecradar-iframe.php?radar=<?php echo $radar?>&amp;radarLoc=<?php echo $radarLoc?>&amp;lang=<?php echo $SITE['lang']; ?>" scrolling="no" style="border:none"></iframe>
    </div><!-- end align center -->

Use the update tool with a query of 25-Apr-2025, Base-Canada, *-Plugin to get the updates.  Be sure to install before 30-Apr-2024 to maintain radar images on your site.
