Neat, I guess placement of the device is really going to matter , things like drifts, etc.

Although I grew up north, where we got tons of snow, We might get a dusting where I live now.

But I'm interested in the water level sensor, that is interesting. I guess I should look up the docs on this. Does that mean a part of it is submersible ?

Im my case, I have a backyard waterfall, which on occasion needs water , I can see a use for that. Also for some that have pools, and also those that store water in large cisterns etc...

I haven't seen the manual yet - but I assume that the sensor portion will be fixed one way or the other above  the water level, like at/under the lid of a barrel - or for snow in some plank with a hole in it ...
I think the reflection will be measured and through that the distance to the surface etc.
let's see when the manual becomes available.
