WXForum.net DNS having a small issue...
« on: July 21, 2007, 03:02:59 PM »
It appears that hostgator never warned that the domain was up for renewal and it expired on July 20, 2007 , and the credit card on file was past expiration date..   :(

Now fixed:
Quote
We have renewed the domain name for you and invoiced the account.

Thank you for allowing me to help you.

Thanks, you guys!

Guess we take it all for granted. Besides the time you out into running the forum (and writing free scripts for us to use =D> ), it never occurred to me that someone might actually have to pay to host this forum. :-k

Thanks again!

Same thing happened to me with bluehost except I was down a day because of it, no other complaints with them though. GoDaddy has the right idea, I have another domain reg'ed with them and they sent an email warning renewal was coming due and the card had expired.

Thx for a great forum guys!

I thought it was DejaVu all over again from the original weatherforum.net

On the other hand, did something else change?  I can log in from one PC, but not another.  Same ID & PW, but on one PC I get kicked back to a log in prompt; I can't get in to post.

weatherhost, have you tried clearing you cache and deleting cookies on the machine that won't let you log in?

Thanks,
Anthony

I had a smilar problem while the DNS was wonky.

Fixed it by replying with my password and checking the save setting box (to store the login in the cookie).  Then closed the browser window and opened a new one, and it worked fine.

BTW... the DNS was fixed the day the message was posted ;-)

Best regards,
Ken
