Sheez!

I've seen the sensors at the local county airport and they are out alone in a grassy field. Only a single narrow runway is nearby but I'd guess it to be at least 100' away. Interestingly though CWOP has always flagged it's temperature as too cold. And according to WeatherUnderground it is not an official temperature observing station yet it shows in NOAA's data.
