Spell Checker
« on: July 01, 2009, 10:17:07 AM »
Is It possible to add a spell checker option before you post a comment? Not that I'm a terrible speller   But It may help others and would be a nice feature possibly. Just a thought.

If you use Firefox as a browser it does it for you, as you type out your response, just like word.

I've enabled the built-in spelling checker for SMF.. when entering a new posting, you'll see three buttons now

Post, Preview and Spell Check.

I hope this helps .. I use FireFox and it underlines in red any word it doesn't find in the associated dictionary.

Best regards,
Ken

For the IE people add this to IE    http://www.iespell.com/  I used it for years and still use it at work, and you can still use it for forum that don't have spell checking built in.. And it can spell check those form you sometime need to fill out or email form the some web site use.

You're welcome!  My hat is off to our international friends who post in English .. while I can read some German (thanks to high school classes a long time ago and 'decode' some Danish and Swedish), I am not as fluent as you are!   Thanks for participating in the forum and giving an international perspective to all.

Best regards,
Ken
