Bresser 7in1 4cast pro solar
« on: May 30, 2022, 05:11:42 AM »
I'm new here and I'm looking for a weather station that I can install and forget :)
With no wiring and no batteries.
To provide weather info to my home automations.
This one from bresser seams to fit, anyone has experience with this ?
I do not really need the screen but there is no version without one...

I also saw the WH69 from ecowitt with solar but the panel does not charge it...
And the acurite atlas, but this one is not sold in Europe...

I can recommend ecowitt stations.
- I have this one ( no console, only gateway, ws65 sensor, same functionality as ws69 you mention in different form factor ) price sometimes drops to 90 euros:
- if you are in europe you can find it also at expondo ( sometimes with good prices too ):
- you can find lots of useful info about ecowitt stations in this 'must read' post:
- others are interfacing them with home assistant:
- the solar panel ( on the external sensor ) charges a supercap that powers the sensor for roughly a full day, the batteries are only used in prolonged low light conditions and lithium ones should last several years ( I'm using ni-mh batteries and in my opinion there is a small leakage current that keeps the batteries charged as last time I put the batteries in they were fully discharged and now are fully charged )

Forgot to mention a 'super good' user support by ecowitt

Thanks for the answer!
I'll probably get the same one then :)
The price on amazon is correct and well lower than the dresser or the ws69 one on ecowitt.
