Make weewx talk to IFTTT?
« on: July 06, 2023, 06:38:51 AM »
Has anyone figured out how to make weewx talk to IFTTT?
In other words, if it starts to rain, it pushes a properly formatted message to IFTTT and the next application will take it from there (plenty of those).

To get something useful out of my GW2001 WittBoy... or is it WS90 Wittboy. What ever it's called, I use weewx to collect the data.
So far, my WS has been kinda useless - no practical use whatsoever - so, the idea is to get this thing to tell my lawnmower to return to charging station when it starts to rain here and not 100+ km away.

I can do this via WU but their IFTTT integration allows me to only select a weather forecast for the area and not the actual personal WS.
WU forecast in my area are absolutely useless for anything like that because they use a weather stations 100+ km away.

Husqvarna provides this integration too and I use it now but it has the problem - it's off by hours.
