Restore from previous backup reverts to non-activated state
« on: November 11, 2020, 08:24:57 AM »
I decided to reconstruct the graphs and html, it's not that bad, just a little tedious....

Some of the settings were recovered, notably the sensors. Reconfiguring the graphs isn't all that difficult. I found that by doing a wget for the various HTML entities, I could easily edit the structure and replace the data with the variable names. I am almost done with reconstruction of both the HTML and graphs. It seems to me that this is a bug, otherwise what is the value of a backup/recovery if it doesn't work across the SD card replacement and reactivation, eh?

I did a "Backup Settings" a few days back. Today I received my new pSLC micro-SD card.

I performed the Transfer procedure at http://wiki.meteohub.de/Transfer

The system works and even has my sensors. Unfortunately, none of my graphs were present. I tried reloading the saved backup, but this causes the system to ask for reactivation and reverts to the old activation code. Apparently this is embedded in the backup?
