« on: June 20, 2015, 07:03:04 PM »
Anyone here have GRLevel 3 and live in Ontario? If so is it worth the $101?

Andrew (mackbig) of http://www.mackweather.com/wxgr3radar.php is a user but he has not been active here for quite a while.  You could try his Contact from his website.

I own GRLevel3 but purchased it several years ago. I think it's great :-)

I use the Buffalo, NY radar. I've seen it detect precipitation north of Toronto and as far west as Lake Huron and any mesocyclones, TVs, and hail signatures that are associated with it. I do subscribe to an Allisonhouse feed, so I use their radar.

I believe that when in doubt, don't. $101 is quite a bit of money to spend.

I guess it depends on where you are.  The map at the link below shows quite a bit of the SW portion is well covered.

Here's an example of radar, lightning, and mesocyclone symbols displayed north, northwest and west of your location. This was taken around 9:30pm:
