Here's a 22° ice halo with several contrails to accentuate it. The photo was taken by myself just after sunrise on March 10, 2015.

That is just plain awesome - the convergence is a nice piece of the composition as well.

Thanks, Randall!  I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was the contrails that initially caught my eye, and then I saw the halo. Sometimes we forget to look up.  I wonder how much we miss when we aren't watching.

Usually man's input into a good nature photo ruins it. However in this case it actually makes it better.

Nice shot! The contrails almost give it a movie theater skyward spotlight effect as if to say "coming to a theater near you"
