I put more miles on bicycles than my motor vehicle; almost indifferent to gas prices. :-D

Good for you. 99.9% of the rest of the country isn't.

I used to be in that .001% way back when I had to ride my bicycle to work everyday, because I didn't have a car.  But that didn't last too long.  Eventually got enough money to buy a used car.  On co-worker didn't even have a bicycle and walked to work for a mile.

Beyond single personal burdens, my concerned is with how this insane increase in EVERYTHING is affecting our country.
Gas prices are only a symptom of a far far greater problem.

Stated today, normal life for Americans cost approximately $3500 per year more now than this time last year.

Stated today, normal life for Americans cost approximately $3500 per year more now than this time last year.

But this fact doesn’t consider the great things that have happened over the last year—-COVID is behind us, the division in this country is gone, crime is next to nonexistent, unemployment is gone, the approval ratings of Biden and Congress are sky high, and death has been curtailed—okay, a bit over the top with this last comment re death……

Alas, you forget our border (which I'm 60 miles from) has been sealed tight as a drum, the rest of the planet has the utmost respect for us, and our woke military is ready for any and all threats. What's everybody complaining about??   :???:

{"The use of pronouns (he/him, she/her, or they/them) in an email signature block is authorized but not required," the memo adds.}
Since when has "they/them" been gender specific?  :?

It's hard to believe there are people so stupid that they think what is going on currently is good.

Here's an extremely minor example of 2021 (not gas) I have cats, Fancy Feast used to be $.65 per can, then it went to $.68 per can and the other day there was a sizable sign on the shelf saying FANCY FEAST $.70EA - but the shelf was empty, so even at elevated prices there is no supply chain?

But for now, gas is going now, not up.  In Stillwater, the lowest price is $2.55.

Not like anyone doesn't know what's going on. This admin can't shove green down our throats fast enough whether we're ready or not. (Guess what, we're not even in a decade of being ready..but to hell with that.) Next...
