Looks like it will pass over Ocala's backyard too by that map.

We could sure use the rain here.  Hopefully they don't keep it all to themselves.   ;)

The forecast keeps jogging east and west but a couple of times the 2PM Tuesday locationshas been our front yards. The lastest trend seems to be to move the track westward but we're not out of the woods yet.

Regardless, I've spent most of the day (and some of yesterday) prepping (practicing what I preach) and we're ready here. The gas cans are topped off, the generator is ready and the hatches are battoned (sp?) down. Just have a few shutters to close (stilll have to get in and out of the house between now and Tuesday) but Fortress Anole is as ready as we'll ever be.

To make it even more fun, tomorrow's the first day of school!

It won't be pretty up here if winds from a Cat 1 or Major TS hit either! I'm having flashbacks of 04....

well, one of the 04 Hurricanes killed my good old WM-918 .... I am receiving my brand new VP2+ tomorrow :) After 4 years of being weather station-less I get to install my new VP2+ right before the hurricane hits Florida, thankfully I'm on the East coast :)

Hope you guys in Florida come out of this okay.

Hopefully Fay will bring some rain to drought-stricken areas of the Southeast (but not too much).

I don't know about Chris or Larry, but here we are over several inches for the year and much of that has been received in the last 30 days. The ground here just can't hold much more.

I got my station all up today, but turns out my computer doesn't have a serial port ....  ](*,) so I ordered a new PCI card, I tried using a USB to Serial adapter, the computer/VWS recognizes it but no communication to the VP2+ .....

That rainfall is probably right. We were right on the edge of it for most of the storm and didn't get nearly the amount of rain that they did just 10 miles east.
