I wish we were lucky enough to see it under $2 here as well! The lowest I've seen it around here is $3.22.

$2.95 and up in my area, there is one station showing $2.89 but I've always had problems with that place so I don't even look at it when I drive by.  I'm with Dr. Obbins, we'll see what happens after the 4th.

My secret to winter heat savings is to always have my oil tank filled on election day.  Hasn't failed me yet.

Diesel at the two local truck stop chain locations just hit $3.999, down from the highway robbery of $4.599 during the summer.  Sadly, the diesel price at a truck stop just over the border in NJ is $3.459 as I type this.....

I saw $3.07 here yesterday.  It is still kind of depressing that we're getting excited about gas at $2.99!  As far as heating oil goes, we usually run all summer on what ever is left over in the tank after heating season.  Sadly, this year we ran out of oil in August, I'm sure we paid top dollar for our fill then.

We have also been going down, now at C$1.159 per litre (U$3.905 per US Gal) from a summer high C$1.359/ltr (U$4.578/gal) but this is a lot more than the U$2.99 you're getting  #-o .

but I still have some C$0.950 per litre  :)  left on my Ford card from my new vehicle purchase in March.

Most everyone here in TX is below $3, I filled up the other day for $2.88. When I moved to MX 7 years ago gas was cheap, something like $7 pesos per litre, it's now approaching $13 per liter. They increase every month and if my math is correct it's now $3.70 per gallon and it ain't ever going down, it's gov controlled.

Is the choice for gas in Mexico still Pemex, Pemex or Pemex?

Ha, yes, Pemex by any other standard would be the same. It is a bit amusing now that I'm back up here to see prices from $2.95 to well over $3.20 for the same stuff - and, I have to pump it myself?

My wife is always checking and commenting/complaining about gas prices.  I never watch them.  I tell people that when you drive a 14 year old Saturn S series you don't worry about the cost of gas.  27 city 40 highway.   Work is 4.5 miles from home.
