Trying to find the correct file to Tx on VHF
« on: January 21, 2018, 06:59:17 PM »
I haven't been here in awhile, glad I still have an acct. I am trying to find a report in weewx that I can transmit over vhf for local conditions. I used to do it when I was running cumulus with just a .txt file. I have looked and read the documentation but still have not found it. I am running weewx on a Rpi 2B, all I would need is a text file name to import into the transmitting software.
Thanks

Do you have a TNC, or are you trying to send through some sort of sound card interface?

It will be going out through a DSTAR radio using D-RATS, which is a simple text/file transfer program. D-RATS has the capability to import a file and Tx it as a QST.

You could create a 'report' that contains the information you want to transmit - Check the weewx customisation guide on how to create your own report.
