Here’s a gif of the radar. It’s been slowly drifting SW across the state for over 2 hours now!

Some of that chaff must have chuffed the works.  PAH has been down since late yesterday with no fix in sight.

I see returns like that from KTBW Tampa from south Florida a lot. They usually run in pairs.
Also just north of Tampa in the spring I'll see a small circle that blows up into a larger one that then dissipates. I am assuming that is birds because I see it frequently.
The blues had a baby and they named it Rock & Roll

PAH radar is still down and I haven't seen any mention of what the problem is, or if they even know yet.

I hate to say it, but they sure look a lot like lake-effect snow bands that we get up here in northern Michigan.
I think that I heard something about an analogous effect over the ocean. Obviously with rain and not snow. We do get lake-effect rain from time to time under the right conditions.
