If it is made by Fine Offset then the first port of call is to send an e-mail to Lucy at Ecowitt.

If its still available then Lucy will know!

Dear all,

We have added the max/min/average value on the graph when viewing the 24H/daily/weekly/monthly/yearly/custom data:

What do you think of the new features?

Lucy,

Thank you for the update to the graphs! I like the new Min/Max/Avg.

I do have some bugs to report. For most items when hovering with the mouse pointer there is a duplication of the information. See attached image. This happens for just about all the graphs where it lists the item twice.

The second problem is that for some of the Averages the number is cut off on the right side of the window. I tried resizing and I can briefly see the complete Average but it then reverts to being cut off. This seems to happen for Pressure and PM2.5 only it seems. Maybe the units you select makes a difference. Please see same attached image.

Very happy to see the continued innovation with your products.

And just like that the bugs are fixed! Incredible. Amazing problem response time from Ecowitt.

Ecowitt should reach out to Weather Underground and teach them a thing or two.

Thank you Lucy and thank you to Ecowitt and to their great people.

Just checked and my graphs are showing as soil moisture (not humidity) so I guess the wonder techs at Ecowitt have tweaked the system already!

It appears they no longer sell the ws68, does anyone know a source for this?

Hi, we're improving the WS68 to perform better now and it might be available on August.
We'll let you know when it's available again.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks, I've asked Lucy and she confirmed. Funny fact, Lucy is also answering question on Fine Offset website... so it's the same company (EcoWitt/Fine Offset?

Fine Offset told me that their HP2550 model is 200$ US + shipping, which is a good deal I think considering the fact that Ambient Wx are not shipping in Canada nor Amazon.com and Amazon.ca don't have this product in stock... It looks like HP2550, WS-2000 and WH2551 are all the same thing am I right?

Merci,
Stratus13

Hi, sorry for the misunderstanding. I work for Ecowitt and Ecowitt cooperates with the Fine Offset. Fine Offset doesn't deal with retail orders, and they will transfer them to our team to handle.
Anyway, let's focus on the products and service 8-)

Dear all:

Our engineers have made some modifications to update the WS View and ecowitt.net:

1. V1.5.0 Firmware Released for WS View(need to update the app first):
Calibration function added for WH31 Multi-Channel T & H Sensor and WH41 PM2.5 Sensor

2. The graph automatically refresh function on the phone for ecowitt.net is also available now.

Please check and let us know your feedback.:)
Thank you!

My WH31 sensors are so accurate that I do not have to calibrate. But it works.
The charts for ecowitt.net on the computer refresh very nicely.
When will the ultrasonic wind meter WS80 be sold?
Does the HP3500 station receive data from more than one PM2,5 sensor?

Hi, thanks for your feedback.:-)
We'll need some time to prepare the WS80 and we'll let you know when it's available.:)
The HP3500 can only accept one WH41 PM2.5 sensor. If you want to add more, you can consider to add a GW1000. The GW1000 can accept MAX 4X WH41 sensor.
Any other question, please contact us at support@ecowitt.com.

Before anyone goes out and gets a WS68 be forewarned!

If you have an Ambient console then WS68 NOT COMPATIBLE.
If you have an Ecowitt console then WS68 WORKS WITH GW1000 and HP3501 CONSOLES.

I don't know why but for some reason none of the Ecowitt sensors work with Ambient consoles. But the other way around is no problem...meaning if you have an Ambient sensor then the Ecowitt consoles will have no problem with picking them up.

Ecowitt,
Please tell us why? What has Ambient done to their firmware that prohibits Ecowitt sensors from working even if the frequency matches?

Dear all:
We have updated the ecowitt.net just now!
1. Display the daily max/min value on the Dashboard.
2. Add timestamp for the max/min value on the graph.

Please let us know your feedback! (we'll reply after the weekend)

Lucy, I really like the website feature.  A couple of observations;

One, I would still prefer to have an app for it as opposed to viewing it in my browser.  In my opinion that just simplifies it and makes it easier for me.

Two; I'd love an option to display a single value for each sensor.  For example, if I want to see current conditions I currently have a graph to look at the last 24hrs or daily.  It's a bit difficult to see the actual current condition at a glance.  Maybe an option to display the current reported values only?  Or if you want to see the monthly Max values, or annual or whatever, have the option for just that value without the graph. If there is a way to do this that I'm missing please let me know.

If you are using Android there is a very simple easy way to add an icon on your home screen that will pretty much act like any other app icon.

- in Chrome load up Ecowitt.net (I suggest telling the login to remember your password)
- go to 3 dot menu on top right
- select Add to Home Screen
- confirm action to add icon
- look for new icon on your home screen

Many apps that you use are really nothing more than a browser inside of a simple app shell. These are call wrapper apps. Because all they do is access the web and the app is not much more than just wrapping the browser engine into an app for access.

Perhaps there is a way to do this on iOS also. I don't have my test iOS device with me to look now.

What your are asking for is like a Summary Report to the stated period. You want to see a report of max/min and total rainfall for the time frame selected in a nice simple table. For daily it pretty much is the boxes for each sensor at the top of the page. We have that for daily. What we don't have is the tally of weekly, monthly and yearly (and custom) without looking at the graph stamps. The graph stamps don't address total rainfall nor do I see how they could, so the Summary Report could show that.
