Was out last night...breezy and 52*F turned into rain and 42*F in just 30 minutes. Then the wind kicked in late last night...still blowing on strong at around 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph.

One thing I noticed this winter...

December: Snow. Consistently. And miserable cold.

January: Warm. Dry. Meek precip totals. Rain.

Wintry mix headed out this way tonight/tomorrow. I have my doubts...it's going to rain, and snow...with some wind probably...but it's going to be miserable at best.

20% all Tuesday with nite seeing "rain/Snow" chances.

Probably just cloudy & gloomy, if I were to bet on it.

No precip since Saturday night...and it's just scattered clouds outside right now.

NWS is calling for 10% chance of snow tonight. Might get a dusting, but (phew) I'm not holding my breath.

Cash me out! Cloudy and gloomy - very gloomy. A huge dark blue-grey cover began to roll in and a few drops hit the windows but no bucket tips. Reports of lightning here & there as well but for me? A cloudy, gloomy kind of day.

EDIT: 0.01" tip at 11:30PM

Received a good amount of rain...oh...was it Tuesday or was it Monday?

Well, anyway received .05" of rain!

$\:D/$ It means we're getting somewhere!

Forecast looks pretty much monochrome - sunny and mild - with temps going from the upper 40s to the lower 50s, then to the mid 40s and then back up to the mid 50s. There's a good chance we might hit 60 by next Tuesday.

Well, all I see is blue skies and clouds and a bright dot that's supposedly the sun. It might be more than one color but hey, it's repetitive.

An equally descriptive perspective. How about a brownish-greenish tinted haze like what one might see over Los Angeles?

Next door in Sedona, Arizona, it was close but no cigar for the warmest January. Here are my January Average temps from past few years:

2012 44.4 <----- close!
2011 41.6
2010 41.6
2009 44.5 <----- warmest January
2008 38.9

1.2" of snow over night this morning. Class at 11 this morning. No cancellations. I think I'll be fine by then...roads are clear over much of the valley...clouds are clearing out.

10% to 20% chance of precip from Wed to Sat 'casted for my area. Temps have been fairly stable, seeing highs of upper 50s to lo/mid 60s. Last night it dropped to 25.3. Low for the year is 23.

Oh yeah - the Giants won the Super Bowl.

Woke up Sunday morning to the sound of "stuff" hitting the skylite. Didn't sound like the gentle pitter patter of rain and it wasn't. BB size hail coming down for 5 or so minutes gave everything a white covering and tipped the bucket once once it melted. Only reached a high of 55 later in the day.

Even the weather knew the Pro Bowl should be played AFTER the Super Bowl. It was a perfect day to hang out in the house.

It snowed a little Sunday morning, then it melted...skies remained partly cloudy over night. Been moderately breezy all day, and chilly up here. Spring is in, what, 5 weeks?

Yeah, those winds will be showing up here tomorrow. 'Wind Advisory' and possible gusts to 46MPH.

As far as Spring in 5 weeks - I already have weeds and rabbits popping up everywhere for the last 2 weeks.

Saw some very freaky clouds up here late this afternoon, and icy winds. Our 20% slight chance of snow just became 60% snow likely. $\:D/$

Wind wasn't too bad. 32MPH max (high for the year as well). Lots of dust cover made it look worse than it was.

Storm to roll thru starting Thursday nite with talk of T-Storms.

Woke up to .78" of snow on the ground this morning. Cold as well. Skies cleared up after. Didn't warm up much though.

That storm system at most is supposed to put some clouds over our heads up here...with a slim-to-none chance of snow.

Oh, and I set this up last night. All of this had some issues today...like not starting the recording until 3 this afternoon even though I scheduled it for 7 AM this morning. I'm using Gawker, which I then proceed to run through iMovie and then export to Quicktime and from there upload to YouTube. It's all fun.

What I want to get someday is a camera that's very sensitive to low light levels - I want to be able to record at night (see clouds lit up by city lights...maybe...)...I also want to get a higher quality camera...and a better way to mount this. Right now I have a cardboard box (about the size of a car battery), taped up to the glass, about 3 feet above the window sill, off to the left a little. It'll do for now.

It beats using a smartphone and filling up internal storage with photos over a long period of time.

Told it to start recording (manually told it to record) at 6 AM...didn't get anything until 12 PM. For some reason it doesn't record anything until 6 hours after you tell it to...downgrading in 3...2...1
