Title: Email with VWS
Post by: NoQuitters on August 04, 2006, 05:38:32 PM
Anyone ever had any success getting this to work? I've tried using my SMTP server from my hosting and also my home dsl service. No luck. It seems pretty straight forward. Is there something that is eluding me here?

From what I understand if your SMTP server requires SSL (Secure server) protocol (Username and password) VWS is not capable of this. Not 100% sure but seems I read it on the Ambient forum.

IF your ISP does infact require authenication on their e-mail servers as ravenstart stated. There is a program available called smtpauth that may help you.

E-mail authenication in vws is something thats been on the wish list for a long time.
