Have you used AjaxWDwx.js ver. 9.xx?
Because this script working only with this file.

I just looked and your animated icons are showing, did you already discover the solution?

No, i don't Scott  :-(
I'm working with previous version of plaintext-parser but i think it's a wxsim3in1 problem not dashboard.
Thanks,

Alessandro

Edit 05/10: The ajax-dashboard, unlike wwl-mobile script, is compatible with animated icons by Meteotreviglio.com.
I've installed ken's parser and the icons are showed in animated mode with .gif extensions.

Actually, it's only partially compatible with the animated icons.  Some of the images will not be called correctly if not updated.  I have put out a beta version that should allow it.

Hey Scott... I figured I'd get up to date with your dashboard scripts. I'm still running 5.03 from April 2009  :-)

I downloaded 6.21, changed a few settings in them files and uploaded them. When I go to my site, the dashboard isn't showing, and its also causing my footer not to load. I know it's probably hard to tell what could be causing this. I'll post what versions of what files I'm using now just so you know.

ajaxWDwx.js Version 4.20 - 11-Oct-2009      Rainer’s version 9.11
ajaxWDwx-settings.js  SettingsVersion = "9.11"      SettingsDate    = "19-Jan-2010"
dashboard 5.03

Currently I went back to 5.03 just so my site is working. I'm sure the info I posted isn't enough to go on, if there's anything else that you need to know to give you a clue on whats going on, just ask. Thanks.

Got it working, now to fine tune everything. I had uncommented 2 lines by accident in the dashboard file.

I have almost 4 years of data, but when I put this section to true, nothing shows up for the records. Any ideas?

$useSTAhilo = false;           // Set to True for Station High/Low (Must have 2 years data to use) or False for WU High/Low

I think your testtags.txt version is too old (version 1.06 and doesn't seem to have the added ones from the archive).  Download the latest from Ken's site and then be sure to add the additional tags from the 6.21 archive file to the end of the testtags.txt file.  I think that will give you the needed additions.

Updating those tags helped, thanks Scott.

Another question. In the wind area, I'd like to replace "gusting to" to todays high gust. The tag for that is "maxgstnopd" In part of the script below, I've tried a few different things to change that tag, but I cant get it to work. Any Ideas? Thanks.

Code: [Select]

<td valign="middle" style="text-align: center; border: 1px solid gray;" >
                          <?php langtrans('Wind'); ?>:&nbsp;
                                <strong><span style="font-size: 14px" class="ajax" id="ajaxwinddir"> <?php echo $dirlabel?></span><br />
        <span style="font-size: 14px" class="ajax" id="ajaxwind">
  <?php echo strip_units($avgspd); ?>
        </span></strong><br />
<span class="meas"><?php langtrans('Gusting to'); ?>:<br /></span>
<span class="ajax" id="ajaxgust">

You would need to remove the ajax class for that section and then replace the gust tag with the high today tag, there isn't an ajax tag for todays high.

It is from the Weather Underground records.  If you don't wish to use it, there is an option in the config file to turn it off.  In a future version I'll add an option for local station records.

Hi Scott,

I carefully update to v 6.21 however on my webpage it still says Version 6.06 16-Jan-2011. I updated all the settings and then renamed the ajax-dashboard6.php, AltAjaxDashboardConfig6.php, and ajaxWDwx.js by adding old after each file name. I then uploaded ajax-dashboard6.php, AltAjaxDashboardConfig6.php, and ajaxWDwx.js. Everything appears to be working. So why does it still show Version 6.06 16-Jan-2011.

Best regards,

Bob

Bob,

I'm not sure what is happening but what is going to your hosting site is not version 6.50.  I have no idea what is happening but it for sure is not what is being uploaded if you can read the file and see the version 6.5 stamp in the file.  Sorry I can't help more, it just does not make any sense.

Hi Scott,

Thanks I will keep checking however my mobile page does show the correct v at 1.32B so how did that show correctly and the main page which is suppose to be 6.21 shows 6.08 January. I believe I have followed all instructions correctly. Have uploaded the correct files from your website. Not sure why this is happening.

I agree, it is very strange, I have no answers for it.  What is on your hosting site is an old version, it's not the new 6.50.

Hi

I have upgraded from Version 4.3 to 6.53 recently and like the layout very much.

I would like to add the tide dial http://www.mangawhaiweather.co.nz/smalltide.phpto the "Coming Soon" section on the dashboard but I am having no success with it.

If someone could help with this please it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

Good evening folks - first off thank you Scott for all your hard work!

Can someone tell me where I am going wrong on the Alt-Dashboard.  I am trying to get it setup here http://www.carrowhawny.com/aaa/index.php

I know that data isn’t current but once I have everything setup I will move everything into the live area of the website.   I have a couple of questions which I can't figure out first one is how do I set the width of the webpage – I prefer the narrow display and whilst the header and footer are displaying as narrow whilst the Alt-Dashboard displays in a wider format – see the attached screenshot

Second question is which part of the CSS files do I need to change the colour of the background outside of the frames on the webpage

Many thanks

Phil
