Hi John,

Quote
Anyone with leak sensors and 1.6.3 ?
yes. Both still work for me. But I also had a reset with an update to v1.6.2 ...
The WH55 sensors were also no longer found on a friend's house after the update to v1.6.3.
Batteries out/in did not help.
But after a factory reset of the GW1000 they were found again.

Thanks Oliver. Not great news for me but at least I know the fix.  [tup]

Just did factory reset and my leak sensors are registering again. I did the factory reset through the ws-view app twice and it did not work. Then did factory reset with buttons on the GW1000, that worked

Thank you once again Oliver  UU

My leak sensors have disappeared again on the GW1000. No such problem with the HP2551. Obviously a problem with the new firmware.

Hi John,

here's still everything ok with leak-sensors @v1.6.3.
Strange ...
Please write a mail to Lucy. Hopefully she already knows that there's a problem and the developer is working hard to fix this already.

Factory reset just fixed it. I'll keep a closer eye on it and see at what point do they disappear.

When you say disappear that is a bit vague. Do you just stop seeing data from the leak sensor, or under Sensors ID menu is there or not still an active registration for the leak sensor?

They completely disappear from the "Live Data" screen. And here's a screenshot of the "Sensor id" screen. I've pressed "Re-register" on CH1.

It looks to me that you may just not be getting the signal where you have placed the sensors.

I recommend doing the following for the sensors that still show as registered but with no data.....bring them closer and see if then their data starts to show up again.

This is how sensors work...
When you first power up a sensor with batteries it randomly assigns itself an ID. This ID has nothing to do with the channel that shows up on the GW1000. If you want a particular sensor to be tied to a specific channel on the GW1000 then you should have the entire group disabled. Then you power up just one sensor at a time. Then you put that channel you want linked to that sensor into learning mode. It then picks up the new sensor. Then you put the batteries on the second sensor to be the next channel and you then put that channel into learning mode. From that point forward the sensors will not change their ID. But if you remove the battery from the sensor then it gets a new ID and the channel link association is gone. You will then not see that sensor again unless there is a channel set to learning mode. A sensor that drops off because of a range distance issue still keeps transmitting with its set ID even if the GW1000 can't see it. When you bring it closer then it sees it again. The GW1000 does not forget channel to ID associations through power cycles and even if you have a power outage...no problem. But if you factory reset the GW1000 then all that is gone and all channels go into learning mode and what they then associate to into whatever channel will be totally random.

The sensors have been working for a couple of months without problem. All good signal.
After a factory reset , they work perfect. Here's a screenshot after the factory reset.

Okay...keep an eye out on it. Maybe there is a bug 1.6.3.

I will, if they go again, I'll bring them closer to the gw1000 and see what happens.

Same problem again today. I've brought the sensors beside the GW1000 but they still wont reappear.  Removed and refitted sensor batteries , still wont reappear.

I'll factory reset the GW1000 tomorrow.
