Hi I run the weather site http://weather.satelliteguys.us and for the last few days my NWS forecast on my homepage and forcasts at http://weather.satelliteguys.us/wxforecast.php is not working (although New York City IS working in wxforecast.php)
I haven't changed anything lately and just checked my site and updated to the latest files from Kens site.
Any ideas?

It's a NWS problem with the data in api.weather.gov -- contact your local WFO [WFOname] => Boston / Norton, MA
[WFOphone] => 508.622.3250
[WFOemail] => box.webmaster@noaa.gov
and let them know that the gridpoint forecast for https://api.weather.gov/gridpoints/BOX/20,36/forecast is returning an error (404)
-
Thanks but what is a WFO and where do I contact them?
Thanks!
-
WFO=Weather Field Office. Yours is Boston/Norton, MA. Phone 508.622.3250

Thanks!

BOX has been returning 404s using the new API for a few days now. I reached out but haven't heard anything back.
-
I contacted them as well and no reply as well.

Hey - I got a reply.
They recommend using the helpdesk email address - toc.nwstg@noaa.gov - to report outages such as this.
Anyway, they do know about it and are working on a fix.
-
I sent an email to the top address and they open a ticket and fixed the problem (yippie!)
Here is their reply.
Email from IDP Hazari:
.
This is a known issue and is related to another ticket that is open with Dataflow (TID:902090016)
The recommendation from SDB (developers) is to restart the forecast-ws services on all ( vm-lnx-nids-fcws{1-8} ) at CP. The cmd is..
systemctl restart forecast-ws
i just restarted the forecast-ws service. It seems OK now. Ticket cna be closed
