Just to let anyone know who is interested the latest version of WeatherCat happily runs on a Mac Mini M2 with the latest macOs Sequoia 15.4.
XCode is updated as well so I did the usual thing of clicking the Xcode app and accepting all the things it asks you. If you don't do this I find WeatherCat emails will not work.
