Simple Tony. I think you can handle it.  Mine is cool to watch cause there are a bunch of jets that fly  over.

I figured I'd have to tweak it.... Any suggestions?  Looked pretty good this afternoon.

This camera blows the Axis 211 out the water. There is no comparison. Less voltage, clearer image, smaller etc...  I could go on and on....

I'm at break on my cell phone at work now but look at mine. There is a section for night mode. Tinker with the WDR and the gain for night mode. Mine is set to auto to switch to nighat mode.

Okay, I'll do that.

I had a 211 and it did not hold a candle to this Hikvision and the cost is very reasonable.

My 2 cents.....

Christmas came early,  got the camera today in the red and white box.  Also got 2 gig of memory for the old XP machine.  Memory installed and what a difference, now to figure out the camera.  I was going to just set the camera looking out my upstairs window for the time being, but it isn't going to look very good.  The windows are double glazed with low-e film on the inside of the inner pane.  They are 26 years old and have gotten moisture in them so the picture will not be very clear.  I need to borrow the neighbor's  big ladder to mount the camera outside.  Problem is, his ladder may be buried in the snow.  The one thing I don't like, is having to drill a half inch hole though my wall.  Wish me luck.

The size is amazingly small.... You had the weight wrong. It's just over a pound, lol.
Yes it did and yes i ordered it from Netview on Amazon.

My nighttime noise must be from being out in the burbs and its trying to capture all the light it can. I have it set for auto detect for night mode.  I'm very happy. Going to setup time lapse with Sebetec IP time lapse... Awesome software.

You could get one of those solar floodlights to enhance the lighting. Mark good luck setting it up.

Mark, I set mine up inside first. Setup is simple if you use the software and instructions that came with it.  If you have a way to get the Ethernet cable outside without drilling a hole go for it, if you don't want put a hole in the wall. Just make sure to waterproof the connection at the camera.

Well, I can watch on my network, but haven't figured out how to get it on my web site.  No hurry to get that done, since it is pretty much worthless after dark.  All I get is a huge reflection in then window.  Have to see what I get in daylight.  Looks like I had better see about getting the ladder tomorrow.

Just make sure to waterproof the connection at the camera.

Try turning off the IR emitters; those come on automatically at night if you have auto day/night set. If you want to keep the camera inside, you could install just an IR emitter outside.

I didn't even use the CD that came with the camera. I downloaded a program off their website and put in my own IP then changed the Gateway IP to mirror mine.

I shut off IR and it eliminated the reflection, as long as no other lights were on.  Got these captures this morning through he window, not too bad.

I surrender.  It appears that I have a 1 pound boat anchor.  The camera works great on my network, but I have spent the last six hours trying to get it on the internet and am no closer to that happening than I was at 7:00 this morning.  Port forwarding appears to be my problem, and I haven't got a clue.  I downloaded the pdf manual for the Air Router that I have and it was pretty much useless, unless I missed something, which is entirely possible.  Any help would be appreciated.
