I've decided to expand on my weather instruments by getting a cheap rain gauge off Amazon last night & it came this morning.
Dugout a little hole in the lawn & hammered a small metal pole in the ground then stuck it in it.
I'll be able to compare the auto tipping readings at 1.8m to the manual one at 0.3m. I'm very impressed by the build quality of it though & it's a bargain for the price.
