Adding lightning sensor data to Cumulus MX
« on: March 17, 2021, 10:40:31 AM »
I have just purchased an Ecowitt weather station with GW1000 and lightning sensor. I have a website where I upload weather data using Cumulus MX. How would I add lightning sensor data to my indext.htm file?

Currently this is not an easy setup, my website does display lightning data when the strike count is greater than zero BUT I have had to do this myself using webtags and some PHP coding. I do not use the standard CumulusMX website but have my own version based on Ken's Saratoga templates. You may find more help over on the CumulusMX forum where someone may have done this using the standard website. You do not say which website version you use or provide any links to your existing sites.

The CMX forum is at https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/index.php

I don't have a "public" website.  But I do have CumulusMX running on my home network, and it already displays Lightning. This is the
standard CumulusMX, I just used the built-in options.

Now I can see your website I can see you are using Ken's HWS template which does have an option for lightning (there is a file called lightning34.php in Ken's distribution), you need to read up on that and how to add it to your site.
