Wonder what he means by redesign. Is the sensor larger or just not compatible directly without code change.
He said there's different "communication" issues with the new stuff. I am the last person on earth that should pick his brain about this so I'm somewhat paraphrasing it. That's where you "in the know folks" come into play.
FYI the specs for the SHT35 are 2% humidity across the entire spectrum and the temp at 0.2C, spectrum unknown, but certainly greater.

This is what I want to interface with the VP2. https://store.vaisala.com/us/hmp110-humidity-and-temperature-probe/HMP110A15A1C3B0/dp
Frankly Randy, I think the SHT35 is a better overall performer, especially at the price point.

Also you would need a RM young type shield. Certified +/- 1.5% humidity isn't bad though.

Absolutely. The thing I prefer is that the 35's humidity is 2% from 0 to 100%. Since we spend a considerable amount of our time here below 10% humidity, I'd prefer the 35, especially for 20 bucks or so.

This is what I use for checking calibration. Remove dust screen, drilled a small hole bottom of shield (be careful doing this the plastic is brittle and can break) push the probe into the aspirated chamber. Works well, after removing probe I plug hole with plumbers putty.

Noticed today my Nist-Tracable sticker expired in October.

Do you make & record *comparison* tests periodically so you can detect any ±trends, or is it an annual event?
