No, and haven't tried lately.
Dealing with Centurylink is almost impossible so far. I still can't log into my account because it doesn't exist online, haven't received a bill and absolutely get no where when I try to communicate my concerns even after being on the phone for 2 hours over several days.

I just can't stomach the idea of actually asking for technical support when this is just billing and new customer service.

  I was told to stay away from Centurylink here.

Does anybody have a clue on what setting in the Hiki will make the horizon flat? On one of my cams there is a curve and this is the only one. Is it because I have the horizon so close to the top and not centered? Take a look.

"Does anybody have a clue on what setting in the Hiki will make the horizon flat?" None, too wide angle lens.

"Is it because I have the horizon so close to the top and not centered?" Yes.

I don't have a Hikvision but am interested. It seems from this thread that the almost standard 4mm lens does distort (bend) the top and bottom while the less common 6mm has no perceptible distortion.

Noticed it also on the 2032 just a little, especially when not horizontal. 6mm doesn't seem to have same effect. I think being perfectly horizontal is best bet for reducing any fisheye look.

For anyone interested they now have 4 megapixel out in the bullet camera with better lux rating .07 and true WDR, instead of simulated. Have to purchase from overseas distributors however and never do a firmware update on those cameras.
My one complaint was always the problem with shadows overly dark, well with true WDR this is  supposedly fixed.
I'm not purchasing any more but passing along the news.

Thanks for the update Randy. I just updated 2 more cams to Hikis overlooking charlotte harbor and the marina.

The fisheye effect is barely noticable on the marina cam in the upper right corner.

Looks good, and its a beautiful day. How many Hiks now do you have? I'm at 6 but only have 4 online. I have a 12mm lens I'll use for snow cam this winter. Right now its focused in on my clear vue Cocorahs gauge.

Mine is perfectly horizontal and I have a little curve as well. The terrain by my place is hilly so that makes it difficult.

I asked for a price from one of the Alibaba sellers, and they said it is too new to price yet.  I figure that means they still don't have any in stock

Looks like these guys have it. Reviews I've seen in the IP cam talk forum they are trusted dealer. They say just don't attempt a firmware update or you will brick camera.

Randy that makes 6 hikis so far. Super pleased with the reliability. I have another going in within the next month. Replacing another Logi.

Great little cameras for sure, They replaced my ageing stardots.

I need to correct what I said about the Chinese versions being shipped over.
I think there is a possibility of bricking camera or turns the camera into Chinese language. If you see a CH in serial number you have a Chinese version. Worth checking everyone before any firmware update.

Finally got two of my four Hikis mounted outdoors, and, wow, what a difference.  My question, before I get the neighbor's 40' ladder and mount the other two, is, more sky or less?

First capture is mounted outside.

Second is currently inside.

I think it would depend on the view, being you are near the edge sky in that image is good but cameras going down the drive you want to capture more ground less sky. Just like you have them now looks good.

Thanks guys.  Got third cam mounted outside today.   Mounting it under the eaves cost me a little bit of sky, but I'll live with it.

First picture camera inside.

Second picture camera outside.

I sure everyone may have know you can put overlays on the camera images and move them around. For anyone that didn't,  Example you want to point out a distant mountain peak etc. I did this to my weather station. http://www.valentinenebraska.net/wx.php

Has anyone else noticed funky color shifts early in morning and late in the evening?

Just noticed these on my captures this morning.  Note the time stamps.  They went from good to funky, then good for a couple minutes then back to funky for about three minutes.

I've seen this problem with both of my Hikvisions, but I don't know what causes it.  I tried correcting it in the camera settings, but only ended up making things worse.  I'm not experiencing the violet-magenta shift at the moment.  My guess is that incident light outside our visible spectrum, e.g UV and/or IR, aren't filtered sufficiently by lens coatings to prevent them from contributing to the camera's auto-exposure algorithms, i.e. white balance.  When my pavement (concrete and asphalt) is warm compared to ambient temperature it takes on a magenta cast (IR).  Similarly, at times the sky can acquire a like hue when it's overcast (IR again or UV?).  It doesn't seem to be as prominent on clear days, hence my guess.  Given that the Hikvisions have an IR mode, I'm betting that IR is where the problem lies and that there's no easy fix.

The Hikvisions are designed for surveillance, and exact color rendition under all conditions isn't their goal.  Overall, I'm very pleased with their performance.
