Looks like a display. But I suppose it could be a complete new station with a new display.
Revamp of Atlas Elite???

It would be nice to put out something in place of the Access that you can do more with. They haven't added any other features to it since it came out. The smarthub was much more workable.

Maybe just maybe there finally going to put out the Atlas Elite ???

More likely that they are going to announce a new Bluetooth BBQ thermometer, or perhaps their entry into the flooded doorbell camera market.

Does AcuRite have an AQI instrument yet?????

If that's true, I'm going to be mad that I upgraded to the the Atlas last December since I'm having so much problem with the displays.

And if it's true and that's a big IF all the " old " displays will not work with the Elite . The new elite is 915 MHz as of anything I can find about it while all the " old " systems are 433 Mhz . So once again if you want a new system all the other displays will not work . And of course it's still a big IF this will even happen .

EDIT but IF it does happen it seems like it will be a game changer when you compare what it will do compared to the " old " systems . Once again it's still a big IF!!! https://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2017/01/04/13958934/AcuRite-Sensor-Comparison-Chart.pdf

The Atlas didn't work with the 5in1 displays either.  Something about the data packets changed.  I thought when the 5in1 came out they touted its 433MHz had a greater range than other weather stations that were on 915MHz.  Maybe the FCC changed the power level of the 915MHz?

Accordion to Acurite the 5-1 and Atlas have a up to range of 330 ft  ( Ive never seen that ) and the new Elite will have a up to range of 1000 ft . So I'm guessing that the 915 MHz is putting out more power . But that's just a guess on my part .

Will the Access "see' a station with 915MHz?  Wonder what they will use to send data to MyAcurite and WU.

From the CES PDF from 2017 "   Share environmental data online that you can access anywhere with My AcuRiteTM using the Atlas Elite indoor display to connect to your wireless network  " ....

So I may be wrong but I take that to mean the display will share the weather to MyAcurite and WU . Just like the new Atlas display with built in WIFI . I may be wrong just will have to wait and see if this is even what there talking about next week .

As far as I can tell no one from Acurite has been coming on here like before . Maybe if they do release the Elite they will come on here to answer questions .

When Acurite released the Atlas a couple of years ago, they allowed the beta testers to start talking about it on the forum a few weeks before it was available. I would think they would have done the same with the Elite if that is what the announcement is about.

Well by golly it is! If you zoom in to the Twitter image you can see the display numbers match. You can also see the shape of that LED light on the base. If you look at the new product images you can even see that this light is purple.

buuuaaaahhahahaha! Unreal

At CES they will introduce the next version with boombox Bluetooth speakers.

Hi Guys  --  I was asking for Acurite to verify that my 59.99 credit was still available --  If i understood correctly the New Item that was suppose to be revealed November 23, 2020 is the phone charger /temp.  What a big disappointment !!!!   Is there really a need for a phone charger ???  I wanted the Elite to be released.   Has anyone heard this too ????

Yep unfreaking believable that they ( AcuRite ) thought people would get excited  about a phone charger .

IMHO, the Elite may never come out, at least in the near future. My reasoning is that the Atlas has been so "hit or miss" with quality issues and Acurite (in their defense) have replaced so much gear for free, that they could never see the Elite potentially fail in the same manner (what is it, like twice as expensive?) and stay in the PWS business. I'm kinda surprised they still are as is.

Am disappointed myself --  wasnt looking for a temp/phone charger. Was looking for the Elite to be released. I was talking to the lady from acurite confirming i still had a 59.99 credit. I asked her about the Acurite Elite  --  she says there still fine-tuning it  --  couldnt give me even a ballpark figure as to the release date of the Elite.   So the Elite isnt forgotten --  Guess there trying to make it near perfect. Hopefully they learned from all the issues and problems of the Atlas.  Acurite dropped the ball concerning the Atlas ---  all the hype for nothing to write home to.
