WeeWX on MacOS experience?
« on: September 18, 2023, 06:30:04 PM »
Given issues that have cropped up with Meteobridge (see https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=45718.0), I'm looking into alternatives for use with a Vantage Pro 2. WeeWX looks promising because I can have it run on its own dedicated box but I can also give it a test drive using one of my Macs. So I'm looking for someone who has done this to get any tips you might have.

The first question is probably answered somewhere within the docs but I couldn't find it. Does the VP2 console hook up to the Mac in the same manner as it does to a Meteobridge (logger and USB)?

Thanks in advance.

I'd certainly lean toward yes, but you should really be asking in the weewx-user google group.  Several people run it on macs.
WeeWX sites:
  Davis VP2+DFARS to a pi4
  EcoWitt GW1000, WH32 outdoor T+H, multiple WH31 indoor T+H, WH51 soilMoisture, WH34 soilTemp (pi4)
