WS90 , strange occurrence with 2 units
« on: March 21, 2023, 01:21:16 PM »
I'm just documenting what happened to me this morning.

My two WS90s stopped reporting to my consoles (multiple, so I know it is not the consoles, and the consoles  were reporting their internal sensors).

We had an early morning frost here, not sure it is related, but one of the WS90s started to send again. I removed the other from its perch and brought it inside, wiped the top, and it started sending again.

Both were flashing their usual blue led , even with with the receive failure.

Only thing I can think of is a freakish combination of weather conditions , as it affected both. But as of now, both are online and sending just fine.

Was just weird to have both do it. I did not reset either unit (soft or hard)

My other exterior sensors , WH65 , etc, were fine on sending , so it might be interference, but not likely

these should be made to withstand much harsher weather conditions.

Likely some interference or hardware issue. Maybe condensation is freezing (and thawing) in the unit internals.
