Eurochron EFWS 2900 Sensor problem
« on: January 20, 2020, 10:34:03 AM »
Hi, I'd like to ask you for advice.
I have a Eurochron EFWS 2900 weather station https://www.conrad.com/p/eurochron-efws-2900-wireless-digital-weather-station-forecasts-for-12-to-24-hours-1508025
The first two years worked great, one set of outdoor battery sensor strips lasted almost a year. Then I changed the battery after two weeks and then after two days.
At this point, the outdoor sensor can no longer be synchronized with the indoor unit. Only as the outdoor side shows that when I insert new batteries, the control LED flashes quickly.

Did any of you address it?

Thank you, sorry for my English :)

Seems like the outdoor sensor array has gone bad. It isn't supposed to flash quickly.

You can get a replacement from Ecowitt for just the outdoor unit. Just be sure to specify the correct frequency; 433, 868, or 915 MHz.

Perhaps look at this thread for inspiration.

EDIT:
the translation for our English language readers -
the Question: how to change to daylight saving time in an WH2910 clone console ?
the newer versions of WIFi and device firmware provide an option to tick daylight saving time (DST) somewhere a bit hidden.
If this option is not to be found due to old firmeware versions, one can simply adjust the time manually (using the SET button as described in the manual). Do not forget to continue pressing the SET button shortly to run completely through the configuration. Otherwise the change will not be saved. Also, if you press the SET button too long (>= 2 seconds) before having left the configuration by pressing the SET button repeatedly, you will enter again into configuration mode and your changes will be lost
