There are a few changes coming to the forecast zones for Northern Michigan, specifically eastern upper. Here is a link to the news.

Anyway, just wanted to share for those of us that use any of these zones.

There are a bunch of these coming effective March 5.

Scroll down to "Service Change Notices (SCN) Issued in 2018" and look for the headlines that include the word "zone(s)".

Regarding these changes that were to go into effect this week... anyone see any evidence that they have? I checked a number of ways (get a forecast for a new code, ATOM/CAP zone lists, new API zone queries) for a few of the new codes and they ain't there.
I'll bother some peeps at NWS if no one here knows the status, but I thought I'd check with the collective wisdom here first.

They have now delayed until April 2, 2019 for the Michigan changes. https://www.weather.gov/apx/ZoneReconfiguration (https://www.weather.gov/apx/ZoneReconfiguration)
I don't know about the other changes elsewhere in the nation.

I haven't been paying close enough attention to the notifications. Yes, it appears all of this has been put off until April 2.
-
Yea I was getting ready to switch the effected zones for me and then saw the delay. See how it goes.
-
I've seen no bulletins of further delays, so it looks like tomorrow is the day for the zone changes.
-
Yes I asked our local office about the zone change for Eastern Upper Michigan and they said it was still on schedule for Tuesday April 2.
-
I made the changes to my site this morning for the new zones (Michigan). They seem to be working alright.

Seeing the zone changes at alerts.weather.gov. Not at api.weather.gov yet (new/beta API).

As noted above in this thread – some northern Michigan zones have changed, specifically a few have been split into multiple zones in an effort for more accuracy in forecasting and alerts. This brings me to my question, how to set them up. I’ll give just one example here;
Mackinac County
County code is MIC097
Zone Code was MIZ015
This County has now been split into three zones
Western Mackinac – MIZ095
Eastern Mackinac – MIZ096
Mackinac & Bois Blanc Islands – MIZ097
Within the Settings.php and nws-alerts-config.php files setting up the various point forecasts is no problem, they appear to be working fine. Configuring for the NWS alerts is where my question lies.
This is what I had before the zone change (yes I am running a cron job).
"Cheboygan County|MIC031|MIZ017",
"Chippewa County|MIC033|MIZ088",
"Luce County|MIC095|MIZ007",
"Mackinac County|MIC097|MIZ015",
"Emmet County|MIC047|MIZ016",
"Presque Isle County|MIC141|MIZ018",
Now that Mackinac County has been split how should I configure it?
Like this to include the three new Zones Codes
"Mackinac County|MIC097|MIZ095|MIZ096|MIZ097"
Or something like this splitting each new Zone to a separate line?
"Western Mackinac County|MIC097|MIZ095",
"Eastern Mackinac County|MIC097|MIZ096",
"Mackinac / Bois Blanc Islands|MIC097|MIZ097",
Looking for some advice/suggestions.
Thanks

Otis's posting reminded me I should have posted this a while ago - api.weather.gov DOES have the updated zones now.
