Any "manual" or analog weather station fans here?
« on: April 09, 2011, 01:43:02 PM »
I have an Ambient WS-2080 on the way now. While basically a beginner station it does seem to get good reviews and will allow internet upload with the proper accesories.

I am a sort of old school guy though and like the analog stuff. I have a few vintage barometers, thermometers and hygrometers here now but wanted to setup an outdoor station for them as well and keep a writen weather log/journal for fun. Anyone else here make an outdoor analog station?

I was thinking about a min/max glass tube thermometer, possibly a wet/dry bulb combo too so I can calculate, rather than read off humidity. A tube style rain gauge and at least a vane for wind direction. Might be fun to build a small Stephenson screen to house them.
